DENIM GUIDE - Find your fit with CITIZENS OF HUMANITY
We all love a good pair of jeans and it's a basic most of us cannot do without, but finding the perfect pair doesn't always come easy!
With so many options and changing trends, it's difficult to know what works for you and what styles will actually give your wardrobe a fresh new look. So before you buy another identical pair of jeans (ofcourse in a different wash :)) maybe try something new from one of our hottest denim brands, Citizens of Humanity.
Their styles are on-trend but still classic and the denim is soft and comfortable, which is why you will always find us reaching for one of these styles when you visit the store looking for jeans. Basically, we are all hooked and after much trying on, wearing and testing their amazing jeans, these are our takeaways on four of the main styles we have in stock - Straight Leg, Wide-Leg, Slim Leg and Boyfriend.
Style features: Sit comfortably on the waist (not too high), are easy through the hip with a classic straight cut leg. Cropped just above the ankle. Fit true to size but size up when made from rigid denim.
Editor’s tip: These jeans are a great fit on most body types making them one of our bestselling straights. They work for all seasons - can be paired with boots in winter and sandals in summer. If you like a more relaxed fit through the leg , try the equally-flattering Florence Mid-Rise Straight - we have them in a cool washed black.

2. THE EMERSON BOYFRIEND JEAN
Style features: An easy mid-rise designed to sit low on the hips with a classic boyfriend fit. Relaxed through the leg, they come in the cropped 27" leg or a longer 29" that looks great rolled or worn loose. Fit true to size.
Editor’s tip: Boyfriend jeans are always a favourite and are ideal for travel with their lower, more forgiving rise. These jeans suit most and the 27" leg (see our Sugarcoat wash) are perfect for shorter legs. Due to the lower rise these are not ideal for a narrow waist to hip ratio as may gape at the back - rather try the Jolene if you have this body type.
Style features: A trouser inspired silhouette, sits high on the waist with a lengthy and flattering, ultra-relaxed wide-leg.
Editor’s tip: Wide-legs jeans are so on trend this season and we love them! This longer length Annina is perfect if you are tall and the puddling effect on the hem is very much on trend. If you are looking for a cropped wide leg then level up in The Recycled Leather Gaucho - with it's more relaxed high-rise fit in a very cool recycled leather fabrication. Balance them out with fitted tops and wear a heel for extra length.
Style features: An ultra-flattering high-rise with a slimmed-down straight leg. Vintage inspired silhouette. Cropped above the ankle. Fit true to size.
Editor’s tip: With a cool vintage aesthetic, the Jolene are a great option if you have slim legs and feel a regular straight is too relaxed. These jeans are cut for a feminine look and are made to highlight your curves - think a narrow waist and a peachy derriere. They look perfectly poised with a simple tee and pumps.
